Enjoy every inch of our historic house, and every minute of your stay.
In season, the large wrap-around porch is an invitation to sit back and relax. Think coffee in the morning as you watch the mist hang over the nearby Kickapoo River, or a chilled glass of lemonade on a late summer afternoon as you watch children head home from the park, or a glass of wine as you close the day at sunset.

		Step inside and see the soaring wooden staircase and its lovely gatekeeper, our small bronze lady posed upon the newel post. A new addition to the house, but much in keeping, is the large stained-glass window by Driftless Area artists Denis and Janine Daniels.

		The public rooms on the main level of the house offer places to gather for conversation or to enjoy quietly. Perfect in any season is the large sitting room with its fireplace and grand piano. Comfortable chairs abound, and if you are fortunate, you may hear Holly play a piece or two.


At the front of the house is a cozy parlor, with an overstuffed leather chair and ottoman, couch, and wingback. Perfect for reading, or if you want to acknowledge the current century, watching television.
		The dining room is a great place for getting to know your innkeepers and fellow guests. The large table is a requirement for the delicious breakfasts served each morning. And you can look out the large window, with its decorative stained-glass crown, toward the banks of the nearby Kickapoo River.
